Services for the Developmentally Disabled
![]() |
Baker Victory Services (BVS) continues a rich tradition of caring for others, which began in 1854 as a small parish and orphanage. With the arrival of Father Nelson Baker, the services offered grew to include an enlarged orphanage, a protectory for delinquent boys, and a sanctuary for abandoned infants.
Over the years, BVS has evolved into one of the broadest human-services providers in Western New York, offering a wide range of specialized residential, outpatient, and educational services to children, youth, adults and their families. Specific funding through OPWDD (Office of People With Developmental Disabilities) enables the agency to offer a variety of services to individuals with developmental disabilities, such as Service Coordination, Residential Services, and Adaptive Equipment Lending.
