Monarch Little Learners Academy

Monarch Little Learners Academy offers full-day child care with a strong focus on early education and development through educational programming, nursery and pre-school programs. The goal of Monarch Little Learners Academy is to provide children with a safe, nurturing and stimulating environment to grow and learn. We are committed to the enhancement of development and early education to positively impact outcomes in language, literacy, cognition, social/emotional growth, and motor development.
Monarch Little Learners Academy has implemented the Creative Curriculum as the basis for meeting the developmental needs of the children that we serve. This program was designed to guide educators in assisting children to become enthusiastic learners through age-appropriate teaching that offers freedom for exploration. Monarch proactively promotes and supports highly-trained early childhood educators through a rigorous professional development program. Monarch staff will be able to implement developmentally-appropriate curricula that will ensure children reach their full potential cognitively, physically and emotionally. Through proper room arrangement, appropriate materials and equipment, along with observations and evaluation of progress, Monarch seeks to meet individual goals for every child.
Physical features of the learning environment are considered as important as the curriculum itself, to include cleanliness, safety and room design. We have carefully arranged our classrooms to provide children with the opportunities to engage in either quiet or active play. The classrooms are set up with carefully considered centers, which have a variety of activities allowing children to make choices and use their imagination.
The Monarch facility is equipped with age-appropriate toys and play centers that foster learning, socialization, creativity and motor skills, encouraging self-motivation and problem-solving that aid in increasing a child’s self esteem. Each classroom features computers with age-appropriate software, in addition to a mobile Smart Board. The “Tropical Tree Landing” indoor gross motor room and “Amazon Water and Sand Area” offer other unique opportunities for motor and sensory skill development. Monarch also features 10,000 square feet of outdoor play space for children to explore.
To ensure the children’s safety, the Monarch security system includes PIN-protected keypad entry and video cameras.
Monarch has an “open door” policy that allows parents to view children, without having to distract them, through classroom observation windows or video monitors.
Program offerings: A full range of programs for every age!
Full-day Child Care
Monarch offers full-day child care for infants and children as young as six weeks old. Focused on early education and providing a nurturing environment, children enjoy a playful atmosphere and plenty of TLC. The program also includes basic, child-friendly sign language so that even the very young can effectively communicate. Monarch considers parent communication to be an essential element at every level of care, particularly at the infant stage, so every effort is made to discuss your child’s needs on a daily basis, including a complete report of your child’s care at pick up.
Toddlers and Two’s Programs
The Toddlers and Two’s programs for children 18 to 36 months will stimulate and educate your child with a developmentally-appropriate curriculum designed to promote language and literacy development. Monarch programs stress early learning, language development, socialization, creativity, fine and gross motor development, imaginary play skills and sensory awareness to prepare your child for the education years ahead. The program is structured to foster both academic and physical development. Teacher-to-child ratios exceed state-recommended standards to ensure that children enjoy plenty of attention and encouragement as they get a jump start on learning.

Your preschooler will enjoy fun and educational activities focused on kindergarten readiness. Activities stress literacy, language, math, science, thinking, problem solving, social interaction, and fine and gross motor skills and are specially designed to promote a lifelong love of learning.
