"Summer Victories"/Colombia’s "Great Magic"
and BVS Host-to-Adopt Program

In 2000, Baker Victory Services became aware of the plight of older children languishing in orphanages in need of permanent loving families.  We began our Summer Victories program in July of that year and have assisted children from Russia, Ukraine and Colombia in finding their "forever families."  This is a unique program which brings older orphaned children, usually from ages 8 to 14, to the United States to experience life with an American family.  The children generally arrive the first week of July, and return at the end of the month.  However, the hosting program is not limited to the summer.

Currently, Baker Victory Services is working with FANA in Bogota, Colombia for our Host-to-Adopt program.  All families interested in participating in the program would have a completed agency home study and training prior to the arrival of the children.  Families have the option of requesting sibling groups through this program.  Baker Victory Services’ staff and our partners at FANA in Colombia make every effort to match families and children based on the home study and profiles of the children.  Support is provided by the social work and coordination team around the clock while the children are here.  Weekly support meetings and activities are scheduled during the children’s visit.  At the end of their stay, the children must return to Colombia and families may then apply to adopt them.  Baker Victory Services will assist you with the entire adoption process, making it as simple and enjoyable as possible.  Baker Victory Services hosts individual and group informational meetings throughout the year to discuss this program.  If you are interested, please contact our office at (716) 828-9636.
